The Transformative Love of Pets & Discount Summer Sessions Extended Through 8/28

Hello Newsletter Friends.

I'm always so grateful you're here.

I'm going to talk about pet loss for a minute. If you don't want to read that, skip to the bottom where I'm offering more discount sessions til the end of August).

Last week, my husband Andy and I had to say goodbye to our dog, Archie. It happened so suddenly. She was only five years old and never had any health issues. One day we noticed she wasn't interested in her dinner (VERY unusual for her), and six days later we were saying goodbye because her kidneys were failing. To say it wrecked us is an understatement. Archie is the first dog I've lost who was MY dog (as opposed to a family dog) and she was the joy of our lives.

Archie was a rescue from Texas. We don't know much about her life and how humans treated her before she came to us at 6 months old. She was a high needs dog and we rearranged our lives to accommodate her. I'd do it all over again because the love, pure vibrant joy, companionship, and silliness she brought our family was everything. She taught me so much about patience and the expansive capacity of love.

Andy and I have chosen to build our family with rescue animals. I know that it always means a cycle of love followed by grief. (We've actually said goodbye to four beloved pets in the last two years). But we will continue to open our home, love, and care to many future creatures. It's just what we do.

Some things I've learned since Archie died:

1) So many people understand how devastating pet loss can be and treat it with deep deference.

2) So many people have been willing to give me SO much grace this past week.

3) So many people have their own stories about the animals who have touched their lives.

4) Connecting with people/clients through my work is really comforting while I grieve. It's part of how I got through the first hard week.

The same day that Archie died, my email went out about discount sessions. So many people booked that at first I was like "Shit, how am I going to do all these sessions right now?" But I did, and doing them was SO GOOD. I loved meeting some new people and seeing old favorite clients again. I loved providing care and support. The hours I spent helping you with your relationships and sexuality were a gift in the midst of my sadness.

So maybe a bit selfishly, I'm going to run this promotion until the end of August. I want to talk to you! I want you to book with me! It's a discount for you, and an hour I spend doing what I do best.

These are discounted individual sessions (almost 30% off) ONLY to my email subscribers.

The link to book these sessions is not public. There's no limit to how many discount sessions you purchase. The only limitation is that you have to book and complete them between now and August 28.

Is there something you've been wanting to talk about, learn about, or process but haven't got around to booking? This is for you! Were you hoping my services might become more affordable to your current budget? This is for you! If you're not sure if your issue is a good fit for a session with me, reply to this email and we'll chat about that! I'm always super up front about whether or not my expertise is appropriate for your situation.

Kiss your pets on the snoot for me, ok?

xo
